Puppy package
This is a training agreement and is for puppies under 4 months old on their first visit.

The full price will cover 4 appointments, held every 1-2 weeks. During those appointments I will be working with your puppy to teach them all about the grooming process and to learn to love it every step of the way. Exactly what we do each session will vary somewhat for each puppy, but the overall goal is to progress regularly and repeatedly through the grooming processes with your puppy, provide you as the owner with the skills and knowledge, and ultimately develop happy, calm, confident dogs who love to be groomed.
The first visit is basically an extended meet and greet. You can stay for this whole first session, but future sessions I’ll get you to leave your puppy with me. I’ll spend some time chatting with you and letting your puppy explore my salon and relax with me and my dogs. I’ll then introduce your puppy to being up on my table and getting love and treats and letting me touch them all over with objects. I’ll let them check out my equipment and space, always just encouraging happiness and confidence. I will do minor grooming like the nails, brushing and combing, perhaps trimming the corners of the eyes and shaving the pads, or at least let them hear and feel the clippers buzzing on their body. I’ll also introduce them to the sound of the dryer going, and then the feel of the dryer on their body if they’re doing well. All things will be introduced with slow care and positive reinforcement, only going as fast as your individual puppy is happy with and focusing on just exposing your puppy to all these things so they can become normal and expected. I will chat with you the whole time about what I’m doing and give you homework to do at home as well! Expect this to be 30-45 mins.
At further visits, every 1-2 weeks, you will leave your puppy with me once we’ve had a catch up as to how your weeks have gone.
Each session will start the same for your puppy; exploring and greeting before coming up on my table to experience different aspects of the grooming process. At each session, we will build on what has been done before, progressing with being able to bath and dry your puppy each time, and also giving a full groom.
Photos will be taken each time as an adorable record of your growing puppy as well.
I will also spend time each session discussing with you about your progress at home and continuing with building your own skills to grow and maintain your pup at home effectively as well. These skills can be carried on for the lifetime of your dog and future dogs too!
With coming so frequently, your puppy will very quickly learn exactly what goes on for grooming and this will build a solid foundation for their lifetime of grooming.
Even after the puppy package sessions have ended and your pup only comes in once every 6-8 weeks, they will have already normalised all the grooming processes in their brain and it won’t be a big scary thing for them anymore.
This Puppy Package has no ongoing obligations, in that it is available to anyone, even if you do not intend to continue coming to me for grooming after it is over!! I am passionate about training and starting puppies well, I want the best start for puppies regardless of your ongoing budget or availability.

The cost (listed on my Prices page) of the Puppy Package must be paid in full at the first session.

All four sessions are set up, at a mutually agreeable day and time, and must be all booked for within eight weeks of the first appointment. Beyond eight weeks after the first Puppy Package visit, full costs for appointments will apply. A session MAY be able to be rescheduled to another date or time, but in the event a session is cancelled, missed entirely or cannot be attended until outside of the eight-week window, it cannot be refunded, as the whole package is all-inclusive and time-sensitive. Partial refunds MAY be offered with suitable notice of cancelling the entire Puppy Package, provided no more than 2 sessions have been attended. If 3 sessions have already been attended then NO refunds will be issued for the final unused session.

No future obligations are held to continue coming to me for grooming after the end of the Puppy Package sessions.
